Direct Billing

 

      Essential Healing Touch qualifies for direct billing. We are excited to offer this service to our clients to help save your time and improve your experience. We direct bill almost every major insurance company to reduce or even eliminate out of pocket expenses for our clients.

     We are able to direct bill the following insurance companies:

  • Cowan
  • Manulife Financial
  • SunLife Financial
  • Chamber of Commerce Group Insurance
  • Great West Life
  • Industrial Alliance
  • Johnson Inc.
  • Maximum Benefit or Johnson Group
  • Standard Life
  • Medavie Blue Cross
  • Desjardins Insurance (This company allows Essential Healing Touch to submit the claim for reimbursement to the insured member. Clients with Desjardins Insurance are required to pay the clinic directly for services.)

      Please be prepared to pay for your service (VISA, MasterCard, debit or cash). As each benefit plan with each employer is different, we are unable to guarantee that your direct billing claim will be approved. In cases where it is not approved by your insurance company, you will be required to pay for your treatment and a receipt will be issued to you.

      If you would like us to directly bill your insurance company, please bring your insurance coverage card to your next appointment. Please note, not all plans with each insurance company allow direct billing. Consult your insurance company or Human Resources representative directly if you have specific questions about your coverage.

 

IMPORTANT:

In order for us to be able to direct bill for you we require a visa or mastercard number to be held on file.  

 

      This is for the protection of the therapist treating you and doing the billing on your behalf because insurance companies do not allow us to know the balance of your coverage account.  We cannot direct bill on your behalf unless we have a valid credit card on file.  If we encounter a problem with your billing, we never charge your card automatically.  We first call you and the insurance company to rectify the situation and only charge the card as a last resort but not before speaking with you – the cardholder.
